Disease Description:
Essential Tremor is a disease characterized by tremor, which can affect the entire body. The tremor is typically associated with activities or with certain positions of the body. In general, the condition has few, if any, additional symptoms, but the tremor can be severe and it can interfere significantly with the quality of life. Available treatments include certain types of medication and surgery (deep brain stimulation surgery).
